The Department of Health and Social Care has extended 12 serious shortage protocols for HRT products that were due to expire at the end of last month.

The extensions apply across the UK and sees SSPs for Oestrogel, Ovenstin and Sandrena gel extended until November 30 while the SSP for Lenzeto spray has been extended until January 13 next year. The SSPs were issued by the DHSC after a consultation with the Scottish government.
