Maria, age 33, presents with heavy menstrual bleeding, which she says has been going on for a number of months and seems to be getting progressively worse. The symptoms are interfering with her daily routine as the bleeding means she has to change sanitary towels almost hourly. Her periods are regular and last about a week. What do you advise?
