Phoenix UK set £20,000 goal in BHF fundraising partnership
Phoenix UK have set a target of raising £20,000 over a new year-long charity partnership with The British Heart Foundation (BHF) in support of the company's ongoing commitment to champion heart health across the UK.
The team are set to take on a range of challenges over the next 12 months, such as a Tough Mudder and the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
Nigel Swift, managing director of Rowlands, pictured, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with The British Heart Foundation. Its lifesaving research perfectly aligns with our mission across PHOENIX UK – to enable more people to live happy and healthy lives.
"Our new partnership with The British Heart Foundation is perfect in helping us align and drive real change in beating heart health inequalities across UK communities."
Hayley Gough, BHF's community relationship manager, commented: “It’s fantastic to see the team at PHOENIX UK commit to raising so much money for the Foundation. We are so grateful for their fundraising efforts.”
The company launched its free ‘Heart Health Check’ service, comprising a cardiovascular risk assessment and heart age score, at selected Rowlands and Numark pharmacies across the UK last summer. The service offers appropriate lifestyle advice and support or signposting to other local health and support services.
